Responsibilities

• On an annual basis assist Medicaid resident with the Medicaid re-application process.

• Responsibilities Essential Functions Monitor residents' admissions and determine which resident may qualify for Medicaid benefits.

• Schedule meetings with residents and their families to discuss the Medicaid eligibility application process.

• Obtain all documentation necessary to file Medicaid application.

• File the application and supporting documentation with Medicaid in a timely manner.

• Responsible for collecting patient liability amount due on all Medicaid accounts.

• Develop and maintain relationships with professionals to assist in expediting the qualification process.

• Prepare and submit reports summarizing the activity and status on all Medicaid pending residents.

• Process and prepare monthly billing statements for all Medicaid residents.

• Responsible for completing the representative payee reports.

• Maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.

• Other Related Functions Performs other functions of accounting department as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualifications Education/Training High school graduate or its equivalent.

• Proficient in computer applications.

• Ability to utilize a computerized resource data base to match clients' needs and resources.
• Licensure/Certification None Experience Two (2) years of experience with Community Medicaid, Nursing Home Medicaid, and Re-certifications.
