Description
Asphalt Green, Battery Park City, is looking to hire energetic, knowledgeable boxing instructors to lead small group fitness classes at our Battery Park location.
We are specifically looking for Tuesday and Thursday weekday evening boxing instructors to program, teach, motivate, and deliver boxing programming to all ages and fitness abilities.
Instructors are expected to:
· Teach boxing in a group setting with diverse skill ability.
· Offer feedback to class participants, always coach to the positive.
· Demonstrate all movements properly and be physically able to participate in the class.
· Able to spot movement flaws quickly and correct participants within 1-2 cues.
· Understand that empathy for students brings success to the coach and to the class.
· Able to lift and move class equipment up to 50 lbs.
· Able to run, jump, bend, balance, walk, and perform upper and lower body weight bearing movements.

Our group exercise instructors have a pay rate of $50 per hour.
Qualifications
- Must have a current fitness certification from a nationally recognized association (AAFA, ACE, NASM), OR possess a CFL1 certification.
- All candidates must have a valid CPR certification.
