Outreach Representative Level 1

Summary:

Reports To: Outreach Supervisor (L3) or Manager (if no L3’s)

Duties:

  • Understand the professional, cultural and performance expectations of your role.

  • Achieve and maintain an in-depth understanding of our clinical programs, medical and other service offerings, locations including remote programs, availability in each location and costs including insurance contracts in each location and program. 

  • Achieve and maintain an in-depth understanding of your specific territory, the existing community referral partners in the territory, the potential/target referral partners and the organizations that may not be beneficial for us to partner with. Develop an in-depth grading scale of your market, plan regularly with the guidance of your supervisor, and commit at least 30 hours a week to developing reciprocal referral relationships within the community.

  • Understand the weighted admit system used at AspenRidge, your weighted targets, and make sure you consistently meet or exceed them.

  • Submit weekly reports and narrative summaries on the status of community partnerships, results of your weekly efforts, key focus areas of opportunity, etc.

  • Meet KPI targets with the support of your coworkers and supervisor. You are not expected to meet your targets immediately, but rather build on them over your first 3 months and begin to meet or exceed them by your 6th month. Your goals will fluctuate frequently and evolve over time, so be sure to track what those are! Remember there are multiple Outreach Representative “Levels.” Each Level requires a different number ofconverted referrals,experience, leadership responsibilities and compensation. 

  • Aid your teammates in achieving the Outreach team and MOAA’s overarching departmental goals. Donot rely on Admissions to always convert your referrals; proactively contribute to and guide the process!

  • Collaborate within the department to develop and maintain a grading system for community partnerships.

  • Collaborate with the admissions team to manage a patient-centered outbound referral process.

  • Work collaboratively with admissions, marketing and clinical teams on business development, strategic relationships, and outreach opportunities with community.

  • Identify, strategize, develop, and maintain new relationships with addiction and mental health providers, advocates, facilities, and organizations. Ensure relationships are mutually beneficial and that, where appropriate, they lead to mutual referral relationship. 

  • Develop personal and professional relationships throughout the field and throughout individual facilities. Engage other AspenRidge staff in this process to deepen strategic partnerships with other organizations (e.g. introduce an AspenRidge clinical director with another facility’s clinical director). 

  • Identify opportunities, (e.g. speaking events, clinical tours, clinical meetings, conferences, etc., for AspenRidge to position itself as a thought leader and subject matter expert in the market).

  • Manage and report on a forward calendar of scheduled meetings and events with community partners and team members. Also, maintain up-to-date contact information, referral numbers (in/out), competitive data, meeting notes, and relationship status in our CRM on a daily to weekly basis

  • Prepare staff ahead of tours on company grounds.

Requirements:

  • On the job training in outreach or related area strongly preferred

  • Sales experience is preferred

  • Knowledgeable about the recovery community and the needs of recovering persons is strongly preferred

  • Excellent professional, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Personal experience in, and knowledge of the industry of Addiction Treatment is preferred

  • Experience and/or education in the behavioral health and mental health disciplines is a plus

  • Must have proficient computer skills and experienced knowledge of Microsoft Office with ability to adapt to new technologies.

  • Working knowledge of Call Tracking Metrics and KIPU CRM is a plus

  • Have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation

  • Willing to work remotely and at the AspenRidge Lakewood office as needed.

Outreach Representative (L1):

Your required experience, performance standards and target performance goals are specific to your role (Level):

  • Experience and Performance Requirements:

  • 1 years in Addiction Treatment, preferably Outreach

  • Education requirement: High School Diploma (or 1 years Outreach experience)

  • Understands addiction and/or mental health, as well as recovery

  • Achievement oriented

  • Seeks to take initiative, is resourceful in creating ways to complete the task at hand

  • Strong and clear communication skills with all teammates

  • Punctual with meetings and project timelines

  • Consistently puts the team first

  • Average Monthly Performance Expectations (must be achieved by end of initial 6 months on the job, and sustained over the course of at least 6 months thereafter):

  • Inbound Referrals: 15

  • Admits (raw): 10

  • Weighted Admits: 4

Compensation:

  • Salary: $57500-$62500/yr

  • Medical, dental, vision, and supplemental accident insurance
