Position Overview:

Reporting to Technical Asset Management team, the Intern, Technical Asset Management will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to the technical aspects of managing and optimizing our solar energy assets. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to delve into the world of solar energy from a technical perspective. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development and a desire to work with clients to transform the way they procure energy.

This is an 8-10 week internship program (approximately June 3 – August 9, 2024), approximately 25 hours/week with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment upon successful completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analytics and Fleet Monitoring: Assist in analyzing performance data of solar assets, using advanced tools to monitor the fleet's status.
  • Technical Planning and Implementation: Participate in the development and execution of technical strategies to improve system performance.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: Apply problem-solving skills to address technical challenges, contributing to the improvement of system uptime and efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

 Qualifications:

 Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking and thrive in the fast pace of a rapidly growing company. In addition, the candidate must possess:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (Engineering, Renewable Energy, Data Science, Operations Research etc.).
  • Must be a rising college senior by summer 2024
  • Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.5 or above)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software relevant to energy systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A strong interest in renewable energy and technical innovation.
  • An ability to work independently based on periodic guidance and direction with excellent organization, attention to detail and follow-up skills.

Location: NYC - onsite/hybrid

At Aspen Power, our work model includes three ways of working: remote, in-person, and hybrid (a hybrid of in-person and remote). On site preferred. 

Compensation Range: $25 per hour (undergraduate student) / $45 per hour (graduate student)
