Aspen Mills Bread Co in Rancho Mirage, CA is looking for one sandwich maker to join our team. We are located on 34175 Monterey Ave. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.
Job Description
The sandwich maker is responsible for daily food preparation, slicing and cutting ingredients, estimating food requirements on a daily and weekly basis to create a production plan, supporting the manager in placing food orders with vendors, maintaining stock dates, properly labeling and rotating food items, and keeping the kitchen area and equipment clean and properly maintained. The sandwich maker will prepare, portion, present and serve menu items according to company standards in a high energy, fast-paced environment. Works in accordance with the store’s standard operating procedures and local and state health mandates.
While in this role, the sandwich maker must abide by store standards and specifications for food preparation, dress code, apply knowledge of food safety, sanitation guidelines and HACCP. Must gain a complete understanding of all menu items within four weeks of hire. Must be able to adjust orders according to customer requests and assist those with dietary concerns to make appropriate modifications. The position has a heavy cleaning and janitorial component.
Job Requirements
The position requires constant walking and standing with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent bending/twisting/kneeling (preparing food at different stations, reaching for items), frequent use of hands, wrist motion, grasping, frequent use of knives, food slicers and kitchen mixers. Must have 3-5 years food preparation experience. Must have the ability to multi task and work in a very fast paced team environment. Position requires constant wearing of gloves and hair restraints. Riverside County Food Handler’s card is required. Restaurant experience is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Schedule
This is a full-time seasonal position of 32 hours a week to start with 40 hours possible from February to May. Summer season (June-October) may see a reduction in hours depending on customer demand. Schedule: Sunday/Monday – Off, Tuesday – 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Wednesday – 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Thursday - 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Friday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Saturday 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
Due to a special customer account, must be able to work every Saturday. May be called in for alternate shifts and/or for other locations. Must be available to work holidays and weekends as needed.
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays and Mondays. Compensation is $13.00 - $15.00/hour.
