PIDC is searching for a Lab Technician to support our growing team in Spartanburg, SC. Candidates should a have strong interest in working in an lab environment and be comfortable with a chemicals. The goal is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to make a difference. The position will be full-time with benefits and a competitive salary.

Job Duties:

• Test new processes
• Test new and existing product formulas
• Use critical thinking when generating and collecting data and results from laboratory evaluations
• Prepare samples
• Communicate technical information, within and outside of department, through reports and summaries
• Perform technology demonstrations and/or field evaluations with limited guidance
• Keep accurate and precise records of data and observations
• Assist with cleaning lab, spray drier & reactors; grinding & sieving material, loading & unloading furnaces and organizing lab inventory
• Able to follow laboratory safety guidelines

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field, no experience
