Introduction to the job

Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

As part of Manufacturing and Logistics, the ASML Driver's primary responsibility will be operating ASML's in house truck to facilitate all deliveries within our campus, as well as ad hoc runs to our local tristate warehouses and 3PL partners

Role and responsibilities

Commercial products:

* Operate ASML's 28ft truck between locations on campus- adhering to all safety and material handling protocols

* Complete deliveries to end users at different campus locations - handle packaging to deliver at respective inbound locations. Verify and document deliveries made and record transcripts

* Ad hoc responsibility for outside vendor runs within tristate area - Collecting, moving and delivering packaging and other critical materials as needed

* Operate hand equipment when necessary to load and unload larger items

* Keep open communication with stakeholders and be flexible to adapt to changing demands and priorities

* Collaborate with 3pl for deposition of non-system materials

Deliveries:

* Ensure accurate, timely, and safe ASML shipments in order to achieve and maintain high ASML delivery performance levels

* Take pro-active actions to prevent any delay in delivery and ensure timely turnaround of all materials

* Receive, investigate and solve material issues & escalations as related to interbuilding deliveries

* Maintain all safety regulations of ASML and in accordance with transportation laws/regulations

Reporting:

* Ensure all material moves are reported, recorded and saved for future reference and reconciliation

* Hold accountability for performance metrics and KPIs associated with material delivery

* Verify complete inventory of materials for daily deliveries and escalate any discrepancy

Coordination & process-control:

* Ensure that information and material-flows are handled according to regular processes and plans. Solve deviations/disruptions quickly

* Initiate improvements and participate in projects to improve and optimize cross-sector business processes.

* Maintain an active voice on observations during interbuilding process and other flows- and provide feedback to departments and management on improvements

* Proactively reach out to stakeholders for appropriate escalation and coordination of moves

* Monitor email communications and proactively act on escalated requests

Material Handling:

* In periods with no scheduled deliveries, must be able to assist shipping department with ad/hoc material movements requested and to assist with packaging modules

Education and experience

Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma / GED or equivalent education experience.* Must be available to work Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

* Ability to work weekends on a as needed basis

* 2 yrs. of experience in a logistics environment (shipping, order processing, traffic, import/export).

* SAP/MRP experience is preferred but not required. Computer skills required.

* Strong communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

* Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes is a plus

* Maintain a valid and compliant CDL

Responsibilities:

* Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

* Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

* Operate powered and manual equipment to move larger materials during retrieval and delivery

* May require travel dependent on business needs.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Role within the Factory

Responsibilities:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

* The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

* Can work under deadlines.

* The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.

* Must be willing to work the Tuesday through Saturday schedule.

* This must include references to day and night shifts for accommodation purposes.
