As a Materials Handler at ASM, you’ll have the opportunities to get involved in a wide scope of products and ensure that lab development activities remain on track for customer commitments and timelines. larger competitors.
Responsibilities:
- Material status updates for lab development projects and customer evaluation units
- Work with demand planner to drive materials for lab and customers
- Work with supply chain to update lead times and align on priorities for incoming parts
- Work with buyers to push vendors to expedite materials during escalation or to meet project need date.
- Staging parts for lab developments:
- Work with internal receiving and inventory department to prepare hardware for lab installation
- Communicate with project management (PM), engineering and product support on timing for lab development
- Co-ordinate with order fulfillment group to release fulfillment document prior to shipping parts / kits to customer
- Communicate with PM and business development (BD) for shipping evaluation units to customers
- Work with project managers and provide daily updates at beginning of working day on delivery dates for key projects
- Develop reports to provide project material status
- Act as liaison between PM and supply chain to communicate project priority and material need dates.
- Procurement of parts
- Submit purchase requisitions (PR) to drive materials for lab development and early evaluation units for customers
- Work with buyers to make sure purchase requisition PR are converted to purchase order PO
- Track long lead time items and follow up with key suppliers or supply chain on priority items
- Escalate as required when materials delivery and project need date is mis-matched
- Expedite materials with supply chain and global operations as needed to meet timelines.
Hours
- Role is full time at 40 hours per week
Education and Experience
- High school or associates degree
- Experience in Microsoft Suite – e.g. creating charts, pivot tables, etc.
- SAP experience is a plus
- Experience working in a warehouse setting is a plus
