POSITION: VIP CONCIERGE DEPARTMENT: HOSPITALITY REPORTS TO: Senior Sales Manager FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt Seasonal Part-time Pay Rate: $18.60 Summary SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the VIP Concierge for The Greek Theatre. Responsible for supporting the Director of Sales in an event operation role. Provides the necessary support to make the entire Sales Department function in an efficient and effective manner at events. This position will greet and assist guests in VIP areas at all events including answering questions that arise. This position represents the facility with outstanding friendly custom service. This position will also report problems or concerns to appropriate department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in creating the VIP Experience for clients with outstanding customer service in a high-pressure environment. Ensure Box Suites, VIP Lounge and other VIP Areas are set up according to plan provided by Director of Sales. Physically move chairs and tables in the Box Suites and other VIP Areas. Review and distribute tickets/credentials for guest lists. Check for proper credentials for access to VIP Areas. Answer general questions about the theatre and provide assistance when needed. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Received High school diploma or GED; and at least six (6) months customer service experience preferred. Entertainment Industry experience a plus! Skills and Abilities Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Must be able to work irregular hours including late nights, weekend and/or holidays as needed. Must be able to stand and/or walk for hours at a time. Must be comfortable working outdoors in both hot and cold weather Ability to deal tactfully in stressful situations and stay calm under pressure. Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic Ability to speak and understand English Must be able to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment Convey strong verbal & interpersonal skills Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. Spanish speaking is a plus Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
