SUMMARY The Destination El Paso marketing team is a dynamic group of creative individuals that promote tourism, events, meetings & conventions, sports, and water parks throughout El Paso and the surrounding region. We are seeking a motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment on a variety of projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the graphic design team in creating visually compelling marketing materials, including but not limited to digital ads, social media graphics, email graphics, presentations, reports, print materials, and billboards. Collaborate with marketing managers and other team members to understand project objectives and deliver creative solutions that align with our brand guidelines. Support the production process by organizing files, preparing assets for delivery, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and according to specifications. Stay up to date with industry trends, design techniques, and software tools to continuously improve skills and contribute fresh perspectives to our projects. Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to management. Work effectively with other departments. Performs other duties as assigned by marketing management. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a degree program in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or other design tools. Image editing skills including resizing, adjusting, and image optimizing is a foundational skillset for this position. Strong attention to details and the ability to follow brand guidelines. Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work with limited supervision and cross-functionally with other teams. Excellent organization, written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management. Strong proofreading skills and ability to ensure typography text elements are free of errors and have high impact legibility. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. Valid driver’s license required. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS In-person office and working facility environment. Ability to read printed words and numbers in printed form and on computer/terminal monitor. Daily sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer or terminal keyboard to enter data for over 60 minutes at a time.
