We won’t rest until you’re completely satisfied.Job DescriptionPosition: Sr. Database Administrator Location: Mclean, VADuration: Full-TimeDescription of specific Duties in a typical workday for this position:Responsible for Oracle and SQL Server database administration and maintenance for all environments on the projectAssisting with database design, development and enhancement of all databases including for mission critical set of applicationsReview current standard operating procedures for database administration and maintenance and provide and take action on improvement recommendationsFollow best practices and be involved in defining and enhancing processes related to Oracle and SQL ServerPerform database refreshes, overlays from production to development/test databases to support development/testing activities of the project teamSupport development team with troubleshooting application issuesPerform database patching, upgrades, and backupsProvide operational support, performance tuning and disaster recovery for high visibility applications and data warehousesTroubleshoot, resolve and follow established processes for applying the resolution for database issuesPosition Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math or Science15 plus years of Oracle experience5 plus years of SQL Server experienceRelevant Oracle Certifications and/or Relevant MS SQL Server CertificationsDatabase installation, configuration and management ability of large databasesSignificant experience in performing database designExperience supporting the development team with query/procedure/trigger/packages development, testing and deployment to the databasesExperience using various tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Management StudioExperience with maintaining and administering multiple versions of Oracle including 11g or higherExperience with maintaining and administering multiple versions of SQL Server including 2005 or higherExperience in performance analysis and implementation of performance improvements using the Database Engine Tuning Advisor and the SQL Server ProfilerExperience with building and maintaining disaster recovery environment using Data GuardExperience with Subversion, Team Foundation Server configuration management toolsExcellent SQL database querying skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignmentsGood organization skills to balance and prioritize work, and multitaskGood communication skills to communicate with support personnel, customers, and managersNice to Have:Experience in designing disk layouts for database, virtual machine and SAN experience preferredCMMI L3 or higher experience is a plusWorking with Federal Agencies (FAA, DoD, etc.)Additional InformationThanks & RegardsYavin JindalSr. Talent & Client Acquisition Specialist AP Innovative Solutions | Email: yavin@apinnovative .com | Phone: 6316491313 Ext - 7755
