POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position):

Responsible for maintaining all facets of the physical facility and grounds to ensure facility is operable and in compliance with health and safety requirements and provides a good image of the company.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (include titles of positions directly reporting to this position):

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees and outside vendors

  • Provide emergency and unscheduled minor repairs for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment (electrical, doors, lights and offices)

  • Perform routine daily inspection of the warehouse; Monitor and perform preventive maintenance of building and grounds

  • Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing lighting ballasts as needed

  • Work with contracted HVAC, electrical and building equipment vendors during scheduled maintenance or repairs

  • Assist with internal employee workstation or office moves

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of and the safe use of Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, Electric test equipment, Diagnostic equipment, Mechanics hand / power tools
  • Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures utilized in areas of specialty (minor plumbing and electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine services)
  • Able to operate reach truck, electric pallet jack, fork lift and scissors
  • Skilled at selecting the appropriate tools to complete a job
  • Skilled at making appropriate judgment and decision making to reduce cost to the organization
  • Able to concentrate on a specific task over a long period of time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in facility and grounds maintenance and upkeep preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalence
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Google Applications such as Gmail, Google Hangouts, etc. a plus.

Distribution Center: Works in a warehouse facility that is clean, orderly, properly lighted, temperate and ventilated. Noise levels are considered moderate.
