Position Description The Gift Shop Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ACMC Gift Shop, including inventory management, marketing, record keeping, and other Gift Shop activities. # Position Responsibilities Orders and controls merchandise; verifies counts on packing slips; performs regular inventory checks; rotates inventory as needed; print and place price stickers Oversees product displays to promote an attractive and clean store Executes store opening and closing according to established policies, including cash operations Reconciles daily, monthly, and annual financial reports; compares register tape to cash, checks, credit card charges from previous day; researches discrepancies Processes payroll deduction forms and submits in a timely manner Maintains sales tracking data; submits vendor invoices in a timely manner Submits sales tax documentation to Accounting on regular basis Prepares reports as needed/requested Ensures all inventory is priced and recorded correctly in POS system Receives and documents deliveries and supplies; communicates with vendors regarding damages, overages, or shortages Trains volunteers in store operations Covers shifts in Gift Shop when volunteers are not available # Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or GED required. Retail experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent customer service attitude required. Excellent organization and time management skills required. Basic math skills required. Experience with spreadsheets preferred. Ability to work with individuals from all backgrounds and life experiences. Ability to work various hours including evenings and weekends. # Required Length and Type of Experience: Minimum 3 years# previous experience in retail/sales preferred. # Required Licensure or Certification: N/A # Required Physical and Environmental Demands: Ability to lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach and engage in repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. #
