Ashley HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for a Payroll Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for multiple areas of the organization's payroll functions to include reporting, compliance, and other related payroll functions.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Preparing reports and forecasts for senior management
· Ensuring compliance with all compensation and tax regulations
· Process Weekly, Semi-Monthly, and Monthly non-exempt and exempt payrolls employees using multiple company codes.
· Review and balance payrolls before and after they have been processed. Validate confirmed reports.
· Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
· Keep informed of regulations, interpretations and practices pertaining to the payroll accounting function.
· Follow policies and procedures; develop and/or recommend new or revised procedures for improving the overall efficiency of the payroll department. Document all Payroll related Processes.
· Prepare or assist in the preparation of periodic/special reports for government agencies, tax authorities, insurance companies, industry associations, and other units of the Company as required.
· Respond to various audit and tax agency queries and requests.
· Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transaction will be processed accurately and timely.
· Run reports from time & attendance system and payroll system.
· Process accurately employee pay for items including special payments and retro payments.
· Researches, analyzes and resolves payroll related problems or questions by collecting and analyzing information.
· Communicate with employees and other departments to answer questions and resolve problems.
· Maintains employees’ confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
· Perform other duties and special projects as requested
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Solid computer skills with a proficiency in Excel a must; experience with V-lookup and pivot tables a plus.
· Strong analytical and technical skills.
· High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a plus
· Ability to quickly learn and utilize all necessary software programs.
· Ability to multi-task, and work under tight deadlines with flexibility.
· Excellent customer service skills are required.
· Attention to detail, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to take initiative, as well as excellent time management and prioritization abilities is required.
