Job Description:

The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including planning, procurement, storage, and distribution. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various teams within the organization. The Inventory Control Supervisor will exhibit proficient analytical skills, problem solving abilities, and identify root cause. Inventory Control Supervisor will work closely with the purchasing, logistics, and sales teams to ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of 2 inventory specialists, ensuring timelines are met and best practices are utilized. 
• Assist in developing and implementing inventory policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure accurate and efficient inventory control.
• Monitor inventory levels and track all movements to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
• Ensure all inventory tracking systems and software are streamlined to improve accuracy.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory counts with system records.
• Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and develop strategies to reduce excess inventory.
• Train and supervise inventory control staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must be willing to travel to Fredericksburg, Virginia daily.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in the furniture or retail induatry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Prior experience in supervising inventory control staff is preferred.
