Salary: $18.65 - $19.82 per hour *2023-24 salary schedule*

JOB SUMMARY
The Theatre Coordinator is responsible for the day to day scheduling, management, and maintenance of the theatre and associated equipment. The Coordinator trains and supervises student theatre employees including ushers, and sound, light, and scene technicians. The Coordinator works with Teachers and community volunteers on all activities held in the Mountain Avenue Theatre.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- 1. Maintain theatre calendar including scheduling District and community use
- 2. Distribute and maintain theatre rental contracts.
- 3. Train, schedule and supervise ushers and production staff.
- 4. Oversee theatre lighting and sound board for all theatre productions.
- 5. Oversee the design and construction of sets.
- 6. Train and supervise students and volunteers on the use of equipment and tools.
- 7. Conduct basic carpentry in the building of sets.
- 8. Maintain theatre equipment including minor repairs.
- 9. Contract and schedule major repairs & maintenance.
- 10. Maintain OSHA compliance including training students and volunteers.
- 11. Participate in theatre classes as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS- Problem solving and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; values inclusion of all voices; works well with diverse communities; focuses on resolving conflict; maintaining confidentiality; listening without interrupting; remains calm and open to others in tense or difficult situations.
- Technical Skills: Previous experience and training as a theatre technician. Strong carpentry, theatre lighting, and sound board skills.
- Supervision and Training: Previous successful experience training and supervising high school students, especially in theatre technical skills.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Electrical certification preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to communicate with others, including understanding and being understood. While much of the work will be completed indoors, the employee will need to move between buildings and throughout the District. This position requires the use of various digital systems, software, hardware, and manual and electrical tools and equipment. This position will require some travel outside the District. The noise level is usually low to moderate, but occasionally high depending upon activity. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions. Employee may be exposed toblood borne pathogens.
