Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer payments. Your duties will include reviewing account information and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong mathematical skills and a commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Processing and accurately recording transactions
- Maintaining detailed records of payments and account statuses
- Sending reminders regarding overdue payments
- Researching any account discrepancies and taking appropriate action for resolution
- Creating accurate and informative reports
- Collaborating to gather additional information, ensure accounts are up-to-date
- Communicating with clients regarding the payments on their accounts
- Answering phones, taking delivery orders, answering customer questions and noting all communication on customer accounts
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar position
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
