Ashland Place Health and Rehab, a respected nursing home in Mobile, AL, is searching for a dedicated and collaborative Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. In this vital role, you'll play a key role in supporting the Director of Nursing (DON) and ensuring the delivery of exceptional, resident-centered care.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the DON to provide strong leadership and direction for the nursing department, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of nursing staff.
  • Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring efficient staffing and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the DON on creating resident care plans, focusing on quality of life and resident well-being.
  • Champion resident-centered care initiatives, promoting resident dignity, respect, and individual needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery.
  • Represent the nursing department in the DON's absence and provide leadership support.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current and active RN license in good standing in the state of Alabama.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in long-term care nursing, with demonstrated leadership potential (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and quality improvement principles.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in nursing documentation and healthcare information systems.
  • Passion for geriatric care and a deep understanding of the needs of older adults.
