Role Summary: This role requires to play a key role in overseeing the design, operation, and maintenance of pipe extrusion equipment and processes. This position also requires expertise in pipe extrusion technologies, and a proactive approach to optimizing production efficiency and quality. Roles and Responsibility: Design and optimize pipe extrusion processes and equipment to meet production targets and quality standards. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for extrusion machinery to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation. Troubleshoot mechanical issues with extrusion equipment and develop solutions to improve performance and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for equipment upgrades and process improvements. Evaluate new technologies and materials to enhance product performance and reduce manufacturing costs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all engineering activities. Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in pipe extrusion processes and best practices. Prepare technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports. Role Specific Competencies: Diploma Mechanical/ ITI fitter. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the pipe extrusion industry. Strong knowledge of pipe extrusion processes, equipment, and materials (e.g., PVC, HDPE, PP). Experience with process optimization, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (TPM, 5S, Tool Box talk, Risk assessment, PTW, JHA, ). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to pipe manufacturing.
