Asheville Clinical Research is Hiring a Phlebotomist Technician Near Asheville, NC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at a busy clinical research site. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood from patients and ensuring the safe and accurate collection of specimens. Your expertise in venipuncture and laboratory procedures will be essential in providing quality patient care and supporting our clinical laboratory operations.

Responsibilities:

- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients

- Utilize venipuncture techniques to ensure accurate specimen collection

- Follow established laboratory protocols and procedures for specimen handling and processing

- Label and document specimens accurately for proper identification

- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and compliance with infection control standards

- Provide exceptional patient service by ensuring a comfortable and positive experience during blood collection

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate specimen collection and processing

- Adhere to all relevant privacy, confidentiality, and safety regulations

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or in a similar role

- In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, venipuncture, and laboratory procedures

- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment used in specimen processing

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation

Skills:

- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture

- Knowledge of laboratory procedures for specimen collection processing

- Ability to provide exceptional patient service during blood collection procedures

- Familiarity with laboratory techniques used in clinical settings

- Competency in blood sampling, specimen labeling, and documentation
