Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and exterior spaces. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and appliances, to ensure they are in good working order.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify any issues or potential hazards, and take appropriate action to address them.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance, resolving issues efficiently and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Complete repairs and renovations as needed, including painting, carpentry work, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas, adhering to safety standards and protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with other hotel staff members to coordinate maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, materials used, and equipment serviced, to maintain a comprehensive maintenance log.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and technological advancements in maintenance techniques, equipment, and materials, and recommend improvements or updates as needed.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Hotel Management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in maintenance or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role, with a strong understanding of building systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems and repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform repairs quickly and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
