Job Title: Fleet and Yard Foreman/CDL Driver

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: CEO/Owner

Location: Based in Grand Junction, CO

Summary:

Busy specialty contractor searching for an experienced, motivated, and skilled fleet and facilities foreman who is also a licensed Class A CDL driver capable of driving Kenworth Semi with flatbed trailer from time to time. Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in shop/yard management and organization, coordination of vehicle and equipment maintenance, and DOT regulations.

Essential Duties:

· Organize and maintain cleanliness of yard/shop.

· Coordinate regular vehicle and equipment maintenance to ensure safe and optimal operations with minimal downtime; maintain repair and maintenance logs.

· Coordinate with coworkers who are bringing material and equipment to yard; direct placement of material/equipment.

· Support field personnel with retrieving and delivering materials, tools, equipment needed for projects throughout the day. Work to be proactive to minimize trips per day but flexible enough to allow for emergencies.

· Coordinate and/or perform DOT regulated annual inspections of vehicles and trailers; outsource items that are outside area of expertise.

· Assist with ensuring DOT regulations are adhered to and followed by company drivers.

· Coordinate with owner on dollar budget for needed new equipment and repairs. Advise on ideas to help with maintaining budget.

· Transport materials and equipment to/from jobsite using Kenworth Semi and Flatbed Trailer occasionally.

· Support and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to take initiative and get tasks completed with minimal supervision.

· Strong organizational and supervisory skills.

· Detail oriented and organized.

· Strong knowledge of DOT regulations.

· Mechanically inclined.=

· Analyze problems and make decisions within scope of duties.

· Knowledge of wide range of tools and equipment including mini excavators, skid steers, trailers, and power tools.

· Team player with positive and cooperative attitude.

Education and Experience:

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shop/yard management or similar responsibilities.

· Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record; Class A CDL preferred.

· Forklift certified.

Work Environment:

Typically, Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM but can flex earlier or later depending on the situation. Based primarily at ASCO headquarters in Grand Junction, CO. May require travel to jobsites throughout western Colorado and occasionally to other areas. Very minimal overnight travel. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs. Must be able to climb stairs and navigate from one level to another, work in uneven terrain and inclement weather.
