The Program Supervisor for Unaccompanied Refugee Minors (URM) supports and assists in the overall provision of foster care and clinical services to unaccompanied refugee minor children, foster families. They are a key member of the team who advocate for the children’s educational and legal rights, promoting social justice and immigrant and refugee youth rights. They will be part of the intake team working directly with the youth and also supervise a team of case workers.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support and supervise case managers around service planning, documentation and client issues
• Provide crisis intervention and guidance to staff regarding clinical components of crisis intervention and long term treatment strategies
• Provide leadership to the team
• Deliver trainings within the program and to our providers 
• Participate in interviewing candidates 
• Assure that documentation meets contract and licensing standards in the URM program
• Schedule and participate in case reviews offering clinical perspectives on treatment
• Participate in data collection and review to evaluate individual and program success – set goals for improvement based on overall strategies and objectives
• Develop and supervise social work interns to enhance the services delivered in the program

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social work or related field and five years of experience in the child-welfare field can be substituted. Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred
• Must be licensed within six (6) months of the date of hire by ASWB according to education and experience level (LICSW, LCSW, LSW or LSWA)
• Valid Driver's License with positive driving record and ability to use own car to travel to home visits and to transport minors.
• Ability to provide leadership, to work effectively and flexibly in a team environment and to maintain a positive attitude
