Summary:

The Program Manager provides leadership and oversight to a single program that provides services to a specific population. The Program Manager has responsibility for the operation of the site or program including provision of services, hiring and termination of staff, budget and contract management, oversight of property, and promotion of the program to constituents and the community. Maintains contact with funding, referral and licensing sources, as well as community stakeholders including government, collaterals, churches and volunteers. This position requires the management of a $1m budget.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing effective leadership to program staff and delivery of quality services to individuals served
  • Responsible for oversight of training mandates to ensure program is in compliance with funder and accreditation requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with state agencies, licensing organizations, and other community partners and/or resources
  • Responsible for the development, implementation & monitoring of management objectives and systems.
  • Develops and executes short/long term goals, which enhance and support organizational strategic plan and priority initiatives.
  • Ensures operational and service standard compliance with all federal, state and agency policies within all programs.
  • In partnership with the Human Resources department, oversees hiring, terminations, performance management, and supervision system.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all program operations are developed and functioning in an effective and cost efficient manner while maintaining compliance and high standards.
  • Generates additional funding sources through development of solid relationship building and favorable partnerships within the business community, legislative contacts, grant proposals and private sources.
  • Responsibilities must be performed in a manner that respects the rights, privacy, and dignity of the individuals served while adhering to all contractual obligations

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in related field is preferred but applicants with extensive experience working with children and/or adults in both a community and residential setting will be considered
  • Social Worker Licensure or Board Certified Behavior Analyst preferred
  • In depth knowledge of state and federal regulations that govern service line, including QUEST
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including evidence of ability to generate reports, respond to grant opportunities RFPs that generate program funding
  • Demonstrated experience with implementation of evidence practices such as but not limited to PBS (Positive Behavioral Supports) and familiarity with DDS Framework: Charting The Life Course
  • Demonstrated experience with usage of Meditech/Virtual Getway and ISP Planning and Implementations
  • Possesses mathematical aptitude for budgetary, funding, client fiduciary management, cost benefits analysis and general business purposes.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance is required to transport clients throughout the community in personal vehicle and/or Ascentria vehicles.
  • Ability to work within the mission of the agency, “We are called to strengthen communities by empowering people to respond to life’s challenges.”
  • Ability to provide on-call coverage and work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed

Trainings Required:

  • Must be able to certify in First Aid and CPR within 90 days of employment

  • De-escalation and Applied Non Violence Restraint Training within 90 days of employment
