Business Analyst (PaaS Development) Job Description

Position Overview: As a Business Analyst for PaaS Development, you will play a crucial role in translating business needs and requirements into functional specifications for our platform. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments to gather, document, and analyze requirements, ensuring that the platform meets the needs of our organization. Your expertise will drive the successful implementation of the platform, facilitating efficient task management, streamlined actions, and effective communication.

Location: This position is open to remote candidates; however, we highly prefer candidates located in the North Dallas area of Texas. Remote candidates from this region are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, developers, and stakeholders, to understand business objectives and platform requirements.
• Conduct thorough requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders to elicit and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create clear and comprehensive requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and process flows to guide platform development.
• Work closely with developers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications and user interfaces that align with the platform's vision.
• Perform analysis on existing processes, identify pain points, and propose solutions for process improvement through the platform.
• Ensure consistent communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating a shared understanding of project goals and progress.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define test cases and scenarios, ensuring the platform meets quality standards and user expectations.
• Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to platform development and business analysis.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in platform or software development projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into clear requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
• Proficiency in creating requirement documentation, user stories, process flows, and wireframes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile development teams.
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to propose innovative solutions to address business challenges.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
• Experience with no-code or low-code development platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of project management tools and techniques is advantageous.
