Hilltop Health and Rehabilitation, located in Rutherfordton, NC, is looking for the perfect fit to be our Director of Nursing! 80 skilled beds, situated on top of the hillside! Excellent residents, strong stable leadership team and amazingly talented front-line staff!

We are looking for a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse (RN) who wants to steadily develop both managerial and administrative skills. Must be efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver! The goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support residents and staff alike.

What you will do:

• Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN, CNA, & PCA)
• Guide staffing procedures- work with Scheduler to develop strong staffing schedules
• Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
• Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures
• Develop and enforce policies aiming for regulatory compliance and high-quality standards
• Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
• Manage clinical meetings and At Risk process
• Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
• Build a strong bond with your front-line and leadership teams!

What you need:

• Experience as Director of Nursing preferred
• Knowledge of regulations and best practices in skilled nursing
• Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
• Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
• Great communication and people skills
• Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
• Aptitude in problem-solving
• Valid nursing license and CPR certification
