SUMMARY OF POSITIONQA Buyoff personnel is responsible for final quality inspection and buyoff of tooling to customer specifications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying the position.Review/acceptance of finished products to ensure that all specifications and contractual requirements have been met and that component accountability is complete.Review special process certifications for compliance to customer requirements.Review final inspection reports of details and sub-assemblies, generate Tool Inspection Records, FAI, CofC documents and compile final customer inspection package.Document and archive final inspection documentation including photos.Support builders, program managers, etc. with GD&T interpretation, customer ID requirements, storage configuration to ensure requirements regarding quality of product are being met.Assist with manual inspection utilizing micrometers, calipers, etc. to ensure the integrity of the components.Maintain knowledge of customer and industry standards and specifications.Liaison contact and support for customer quality representatives, source inspectors.Utilize and update information to customer QA web accounts.Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management. REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCEAny combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.Minimum 3 years’ experience in a quality assurance position or in aerospace tooling industry.This position must meet Export Control Compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22.C.F.R. is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSProficient in GD&T interpretation.Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast-paced environment.Able to work varied shifts, overtime, and weekends when necessary.Has confidence in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities.Ability to work with management team to help drive performance of location. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-the-area and overnight travel. WORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions described here are representative of those that may be experienced by an employee daily while performing the functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles.The employee may be exposed to vibration.The employee is occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals.
