Summary of PositionThe individual will perform electrical wiring of industrial control panels. The Individual will build industrial control panels to print, including laying out, physically mounting devices, wiring, and testing. Essential FunctionsFollow electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specificationsRead and correctly interpret blueprints/schematics and wiring diagrams (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic blueprints)Layout and mount components to control panel backplaneWiring of control panel components such as circuit breakers, PLCs, switches, relays, lights, etc.Exercise good judgment and best practices when inconsistencies or issues are found. Work with designers/engineers to resolve problemsUtilize hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, wire cutters, and wire crimpersDrill, tap, and cut holes to mount components or to provide clearance for components or wiringMark up blueprints/schematicsOrganize incoming controls material by job and by location (Control Panel build or Field install material)Any additional duties assigned by management. Required Skills, Education & ExperienceAny combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be: High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredAt least 2 years electrical experienceMust be able to read blue prints (electrical, pneumatic hydraulic)Maintain current knowledge of new and existing products, applications, and standards.
