**Responsibilities**

**Summary:** The Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) assists the CFO in executive-level management of financial resources, strategic planning, and development of the Finance organization. The ACFO has responsibility for safeguarding a subset and/or group of the organizations assets and complying with defined elements of the financial integrity program. The ACFO will develop communication, knowledge, leadership, professionalism, and business skills necessary to advance to a CFO.

**Core Responsibilities:**

Engages for impact to bring national and local key stakeholders (physicians, clinical/non-clinical leadership) together to drive results, focusing on the revenue cycle process, management of expenses, and financial goal management

In alignment with the Ascension strategic plan, collaborates with the CFO and executive leadership to generate and execute business strategies that improve overall performance metrics, specifically focused on financial performance, quality, and consumer experience

Uses data-driven approaches to allocate resources and elevate the organizations financial performance and goals

Attracts, recruits, and retains exceptional talent, cultivating engaged financial professionals, leaders, and support staff focused on financially sound business practices and decisions, and high-quality care driving the consumer experience

Fosters a culture of appreciation, belongingness, inclusivity, diversity, and equity to drive the associate experience

**Requirements**

Education:

Bachelor's degree with 10 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 5 of those years being in leadership/management.
