Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is Hiring a Legal Billing Specialist Near Coral, FL

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a senior billing specialist to work with our client's amazing billing/accounting team in our Coral Gables office. Law Firm experience is a must!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process client bills using Pre-bill and bills via Centerbase software.

• Electronic submission of client invoices.

• Research and answer billing and accounting questions.

• Review and edit pre-bills in response to attorneys’ requests.

• Execute, handle, and process a high volume of complex bills.

• Review and verify the accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required.

• Run billing reports for attorneys and departments.

• Assist the accounting department with reports and information.

• Understanding of standard accounts payable concepts, practices, and procedures, the processes involved, and related applications.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-starter with the ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands.

• Ability to multi-task, organize workflow, and use time efficiently.

• Exceptional analytical skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to anticipate work needs.

• Proactive in identifying accounting issues and providing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 -3 years related experience, or equivalent combination required.

• Law firm environment experience preferred.

• Centerbase software experience preferred.

• Collection experience a plus.

• Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

• Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

• Flexible and collaborative attitude.

• Team player, while having the ability to work independently.

• Self-motivated and have the desire to learn and grow.
