REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY Commercial real estate investment company located in downtown Los Angeles is looking for an in-house attorney to assist the company in all facets of real estate and general business law. This includes tenant, contract, business and employment law. The successful candidate will be licensed to practice law in California, and have a minimum of 7 years of experience.

DUTIES SHALL INCLUDE:
• Interfacing with and providing legal advice to investments, portfolio oversight, property management, leasing, accounting, financial reporting and compliance staff as necessary with respect to net lease portfolio
• Negotiate and draft letters of intent, commercial lease agreements, amendments and addenda with tenants including National Retailers, Big Box Retailers and general shopping center tenants. Extensive experience in lease negotiations with national retailers preferred.
• Negotiate and draft license agreements, access agreements, marketing agreements, service contracts, management agreements and other legal documents
• Draft purchase and sale agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, contractor and construction documents, etc. Perform due diligence for, and coordinate transactions and work with team to close commercial real estate acquisitions
• Supervise and finalize entity formation and manage corporate governance
• Advising property management and operating management staff on tenant operational/lease issues, landlord/tenant matters, collection activities, and other operational matters
• Human Resources legal work, prepare on boarding documents and write up materials
• Conduct compliance on corporate, real estate and employment matters
• Conduct basic legal and business research
Compensation will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
