The Senior Director, Project Management at McColl Center plays a central administrative role in the daily and long-term delivery of initiatives at the organization. This role focuses on the collaborative points of project management so that team leaders can focus and deliver on their departmental responsibilities. The Senior Director, Project Management reports to the President CEO.
The Senior Director, Project Management is responsible for managing cross-team collaboration of strategic and tactical matters for creative, operational, philanthropic, marketing, and venue rental-related projects. This includes working in partnership with each team on communication, resourcing, logistics, schedules, and deadlines to ensure the timely flow of delivery. This person acts as the key internal liaison between leadership staff and internal teams, ensuring continuity, quality, and accuracy of all projects.
Responsibilities
  • Central point of contact and supervisor for cross-department projects and initiatives as defined and assigned by the interim President CEO.
  • Oversight, gathering, and coordination of objectives, timelines, resource allocation, deliverables, and project prioritization to ensure optimal efficiency of organizational strategic initiatives, collaboration and timely success of projects.
  • Coordinates and assigns tasks to team members, monitors progress, and ensures that projects are on track and delivered within agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Appropriately aligns resources against project needs and sets clear expectations with the team for tasks and deliverables and their role in delivering the project.
  • Encourages continued direct communication and collaboration between team leaders and members.
  • Communicates changes to the plan and implications for the team, clearly and promptly.
  • Optimizes processes, evaluating their efficiency and effectiveness, with an opportunity to highlight what went right and what can be improved.
  • Manages issues appropriately and professionally.
  • Demonstrates ability to negotiate conflict, manage differences of opinion, and communicate with all different personality types among team members effectively.
  • Meets weekly and as needed with the interim President CEO.
Qualifications
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate, and manage projects to completion.
  • An outgoing, confident personality who can work effectively in challenging situations and with people under strict deadlines.
  • Emotional intelligence, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with or a passion for the arts and creativity.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to attend McColl Center events during evenings and weekends as needed.
Compensation
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
