Ascend Community Staffing Partners LLC is Hiring a Registered Nurse/ WTRS Near Smyrna, GA

Description

This residential treatment and recovery program for women with substance use disorders offers hope, love, and assistance for women in recovery by removing substance use as a barrier to employment and living in the community. Services support women in achieving abstinence, maintaining recovery, avoiding illegal activity and meeting parenting responsibilities. The program also provides supports to help women obtain employment and transition into safe and stable housing. Children 13 or younger are allowed to stay with their mothers while they are in the residential treatment program

The Registered Nurse/ Women's Treatment and Recovery Services will be responsible for the delivery of quality individual care through the nursing process of screenings, administering medication, admissions, discharges, groups, unit management, risk assessments and crisis management to individuals participating in residential programs. The Residential Department is comprised of six 24/7 residential treatment programs, serving adults and adolescents with substance use and mental health challenges.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assess individuals with health problems of mental health/substance use challenges and needs with completion of nursing assessments and development of nursing care plans.
  • Provides after hours on-call care including consulting with direct care staff regarding immediate care of individuals.
  • Modifies treatment plans as indicated by individual's responses and conditions
  • Monitors all aspects of individual care, including diet and physical activity
  • Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in conditions by observation using proper nursing care
  • Prepares individual for medical examination and conducts treatments as ordered
  • Maintains stock of supplies
  • Provides education to individuals, staff and family.
  • Travels to multiple program locations to monitor individual medical needs and ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
  • Attends case staffing/treatment team meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Ensures and provide high quality compassionate and ethical services while improving program and organizational performance 100% of the time.
  • Assists with service-related compliance.
  • Intervenes, stabilizes and manages acute crisis situations as needed.
  • Assists in training co-staff in areas relating to service specialties as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality for all indirect/direct service in accordance with agency policies and HIPAA policies.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as may be assigned. 
  • Knowledge of necessary appropriate therapeutic boundaries for working with vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of addictive diseases and/or mental health disorders and their impact on an individual’s functioning.

Requirements

  • Must be Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia
  • 1-2 years experience with Mental Health of Substance Use Disorders
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation
  • Pre-Employment and random drug screening
  • Acceptable motor vehicle report

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bilingual abilities a plus
