Job Description Retail Sales Associate – Part Time

The Butler’s Pantry provides a boutique setting for customers to purchase casseroles, ice creams, entrees, sides items, baked goods and breads; all made from scratch in our kitchens.

We are open Mon-Sat 10am-7pm and Sunday from 11 am – 5pm.

We are seeking help with the following two shifts: Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm and weekend availability from 9:30am-7:30pm

Pay varies with experience.

Retail Sales Associate Job Responsibilities:

• Serves customers by helping them select products.
• Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
• Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
• Responds to customers’ questions.
• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
• Provides outstanding customer service.
• Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Manages financial transactions.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
• Alerts management of potential security issues.
• Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
• Pair wine and entrees – or be willing to learn
• Opening and closing procedures.
• Packing and labeling food products in accordance with NC Health code.
• Any other responsibilities deemed reasonable by managment

We are seeking an individual with an outgoing personality to join our close knit, retail team. We prefer one year experience in retail (preferable with food, but not required).

Applicants must be at least 19 years old to sell alcohol.

We are closed on all major holidays.

Positions are available immediately.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
