Dining Supervisor

Full Time Day and Evening Shift 8am-5pm

Asbury Place Kingsport is currently seeking a Dining Supervisor for a Full Time position working 8am-5pm.

What will I do as a Dining Supervisor?

• Assigns staff to positions based on department need.
• Covers callouts and vacancies for seamless operation of department.
• Communicates changes to other supervisors and managers.
• Demonstrates ability to make appropriate decisions that ensure smooth operation of the department.
• Delegates responsibilities, monitors performance, and holds employees accountable for maintaining departmental and regulatory agency standards (temps, portions, accuracy, presentation, sanitation, service, etc.

in the kitchen and in dining rooms at all times.

• Orders groceries two times a week.
• Ensures kitchen and dining rooms are kept neat, clean, and sanitized at all times.
• Completes opening and closing checklists. Maintains departmental security per policies and procedures.
• Conducts pre-meal meetings at each meal.
• Completes test trays as assigned.
• Monitors and holds employees accountable for timely and accurate delivery of meals via tray-line or dining room.
• Orients and trains new employees according to departmental policies and procedures.
• Completes inventory once a week.
• Maintains all computerized programs for inventory and ordering.
• Develops employees through constant feedback (positive and negative) and through JDPR / action plan process.
• Informs Assistant Managers and Manager, in a timely manner, when there are any problems with departmental operations.
• Adheres to Safety & Sanitation Infection Control Policies and Standards.
• Adheres to Standards of Attendance.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

What is required in this position?

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a supervisor in a Healthcare setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Classes in food service management preferred.
