Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Addiction Counselor to provide counseling, support, and education to individuals and their families dealing with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of addiction and a passion for helping clients on their recovery journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' substance use and mental health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Educate clients and families about addiction and recovery.
  • Facilitate support groups and therapeutic activities.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights.

Qualifications:

  • Valid license or certification as an Addiction Counselor in Michigan (e.g., CADC, LPC, LCSW).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in addiction counseling.
  • Strong understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatments.
