Job DescriptionSummary: This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields and goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation and security; supervise production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations.
QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience related to maintenance is a plus.
Experience
- 5 years of related Industrial maintenance experience.
- At least 3 years of maintenance supervisory experience required. Meat processing facility and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations preferred.
- Computer Skills: Standard computer skills
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel: 0 - 10
Special Skills: Knowledge of OSHA USDA HACCP Safety Security Sanitation Quality yields cost and efficiencies strong math ability a plus.
