Job Description

The Outbound Freight Coordinator verifies quantity, quality, labeling, and packaging of garments and items of merchandise ready for distribution. This position is responsible for the overall paperwork and data entry associated with shipping product from the manufacturing plant.

• Plan and prioritize daily work using Excel spreadsheets, polybag list, requests from the CSR, various Paragon Access reports and performing Order Status Lookups.
• Communicate with production coordinators as needed to determine availability of product for shipping.
• Thoroughly read and understand all shipping documents to prep and package accurately.
• Verify product accuracy: style, color, design application, design placement, namedrop, collar treatment, and label change as specified on the MO.
• Verify product counts by comparing quantities listed on the MO against quantities recorded on the bag labels or boxes.
• Package product using Special Instructions stated on the MO or other shipping documents to meet customer’s requests or in compliance with established guidelines.
• Package items to conform to the shipping carriers’ specifications.
• Use handheld tape guns to seal packages.
• Palletize shipments as required by routing instructions.
• Transmit shipment information and prepare shipping labels using EDI. (SPS Commerce website)
• Ship completed or partial orders using the carrier and billing method requested by the customer and as stated on the shipping documents.
• Process packages by operating shipping systems, such as UPS and FedEx, completing Bills of Ladings, or preparing other documents required by specific carriers.
• Arrange shipment pickups with carriers that are not scheduled for daily pickups.
• Operate material handling equipment, including 2-wheel cart, flatbed carts, pallet jack, and electric jack.

• Have knowledge of Microsoft based programs (excel, word, outlook) is preferred.
• Moderate excel knowledge is also preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.25 - $19.00 per hour
