AoPS Academy is a program of Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), a global leader in K–12 advanced education. AoPS is on a mission to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation. Since 2003, AoPS has trained hundreds of thousands of the country's top students through its online school, in-person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems. AoPS Academy offers unique problem solving curriculum at its in-person locations across the country as well as through the virtual campus.
The AoPS Academy in Bellevue, WA is hiring part-time Math & Language Arts Teaching Assistants (TAs) with strong math, reading, writing, and grammar skills to support our campus during the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to work with motivated younger students and contribute to the AoPS Academy community.
This is a part-time, IN-PERSON position for our 2024 camps.
Our TAs contribute greatly to the success of our students and are an integral part of our Academy family. This may be a great fit for you if you enjoy interacting with students, guiding them as they work through challenging math problems, and helping them feel more confident about math concepts.
Summer TAs support AoPS instructors in the classroom to help keep students engaged and on task. They work with students during class to help them understand the material by asking/answering questions and providing feedback on assignments. As this is an in-person position at our Bellevuecampus location, candidates must be located in Bellevueor the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
During the summer, we offer multiple two-week camps between June - August. Camp classes are held Monday-Friday for 3 hours a day, with both morning and afternoon classes.
