This is a flexible "backup"/substitute position. Hours will vary from week to week - one to three days per week, some Saturdays, some longer weeks when the owner is traveling.

So, this job is only very part time -- not for someone who is looking for a regular income and schedule. It is really for someone who likes to work in a beautiful retail environment from time to time and wishes to be very well compensated for their skills and reliability. There may be a chance for more regular, frequent employment later.

We're looking for a professional, reliable, and organized person who has several years of high-end retail experience, really enjoys making sales, and has strong computer skills. Social media skill is a bonus and would be compensated. Ideally, you'd be interested in art, decorative arts and/or interior design. You'd also be very comfortable making high dollar sales.

We are a specialized gallery and have anywhere from 2-40 customers per day. When things are slow, you will completing organizing tasks, fine-tuning the look of the shop, or doing internet work. Professional dress is important.

Curiosity and friendliness is also essential--as is maturity, graciousness and discretion with our customers.

There is also the opportunity do internet and social media work from home.
Pay is very good, and is based on retail/sales experience and computer skills. You will also receive a discount on inventory and will be eligible for bonuses based on sales and overall helpfulness!
