ArsenalBio, a privately held, clinical-stage programmable cell therapy company engineering advanced CAR T therapies for solid tumors, is seeking a talented Senior Instrumentation Technician to work onsite based in our South San Francisco office.

ArsenalBio is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Specialist to support our Laboratory Operations Team. Reporting to the Associate Director, Laboratory Operations, this position will support the science and efficient operation of our research labs and by managing, coordinating and/or executing all lab equipment and maintenance operations to enable an efficient laboratory environment for the ArsenalBio team.

What You Will Do:

• Support global laboratory equipment documentation by maintaining internal equipment records
• Establish a system for tracking and trending planned and unplanned equipment maintenance activities
• Assist with internal laboratory equipment inventory processes and procedures
• Support equipment management process lifecycle for new equipment acquisitions, transfers, and decommissions.
• Document, coordinate and/or perform laboratory equipment Calibration, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Repairs.
• Respond to all equipment repair requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment onsite as applicable 
• Serve as point of contact for vendor service calls, preventative maintenance, modifications and installations on instruments with minimal supervision
• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities with approved service provider
• Maintain, manage, and respond to remote temperature monitoring system
• Assist to maintain existing lab gasses environment with relation to specific instrument platforms
• Identify and suggest initiatives for continuous lab operations and instrumentation management improvement
• Partner with supply chain to ensure necessary equipment maintenance supplies are always in stock
• Partner with IT and finance to ensure efficient implementation of new platforms and continuous improvement on existing instrumentation platforms.
• Be a key member of the laboratory operations team, specializing and prioritizing the instrumentation environment but also providing key input for general laboratory operations

• AA or Bachelors degree in related fields and 4 years instrumentation/controls/mechanical hands-on experience 
• Experience in managing equipment in a laboratory environment with high-volume, high-quality laboratory processes
• Preferred experience with semi-automated and fully automated research instrumentation platforms
• Familiarity with GMP/GLP practices preferred
• Basic understanding of quality assurance and quality management systems
• Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, system administration 
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional initiative
• Excellent time management skills; able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
• Ability to use/operate electronic measurement/calibration equipment in the maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment
• Knowledge of principles, standard practices and techniques of servicing, maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment and instruments, materials, parts, supplies, equipment used in the maintenance of laboratory equipment

The estimated base salary offer for the preferred primary location of San Francisco Bay area ranges from $38.56/hour–$47.26/hour. Salary ranges for other locations may vary from this range. Base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, experience, education, and location.
