What You Will Do

TheLPN Dispensing Nurse is responsible for dispensing any medications the clinicmay utilize in the treatment of patients. The LPN Dispensing Nurse is responsible for the completeness of allmedical aspects of the medical record and works with the Director of Nursing toassure appropriate medical care for patients.

Requirements:

• Must possess a current Maryland LPN license.

• Must possess a current CPR license.

• Previous long-term care experience is desirable.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Sit, stands, walks, bends, lift, and moves intermittently during working hours.
• Must be available to work during clinic hours.

Responsibility:

• Sets up for dispensingof medication and dispenses medication.

• Monitors medicationinventory and reports to charge nurse.

• Reconciles inventoryof Methadone and buprenorphine at conclusion of dosing.

• Signs and processesphysician verbal orders.

• Enters notes in KIPU andinputs flags as per physician orders.

• Collects UDS as needed.

• Monitors vital signsfor dose changes.

• Calibrates Methadonepump.

• Be proficient withState Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards andCompany policies.
