Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Health Aides. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and meal preparation
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with transportation
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Provide specialized care for clients with developmental disabilities or those receiving hospice care
- Perform catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a nursing home setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
