SCHEDULE: Daytime shifts, Weekend availability is required. This can be FT or PT. Health/Dental/Vision insurance is only available with FT status.

Position Overview in A Nutshell – Clean hotel rooms, clean public areas, work in the laundry department from time to time. Ideally, ability and willingness to work in room cleaning and laundry is preferred; however, we would be open to individuals only interested in Room Cleaning Or Laundry.

Essential Functions: Clean hotel rooms, vacuum, dust, make beds, clean bathrooms (Toilets/showers/vanities), stock room attendant carts, work safely with approved cleaning equipment and approved cleaning chemicals, lift up to 30 lbs regularly, push room attendant carts, be on ones' feet upright walking/stooping/bending for 90% of shift. Laundry Dept: Loading/unloading washers/dryers, lifting heavy/wet linens, standing/bending/stooping/walking, dexterity to fold sheets/towels/etc. Identify and suggest solutions for fixing potential life/safety issues, equipment and procedures. Report any problems/concerns to the Housekeeping Manager or GM.

Job Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Experience: Hotel housekeeping experience preferred, not required.
• Other established work record required.
• Background screening required.

Specific job knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Ability to communicate with coworkers in basic English, verbally.
• Read and write numbers and basic English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish would be a plus, but not required.
• Communicate effectively with other employees and guests.
• Follow instructions and perform job functions in a timely manner.
• Learn to and apply training of cleaning and laundry chemicals.
• Practice safe use of equipment, chemicals, safe lifting techniques, etc.
• Possess interpersonal skills including a friendly personality.
• Exercise good judgment, is reliable and honest.
• Extreme attention to detail!

Physical Requirements:

• Majority of work performed indoors, very little outdoors. Temperature can vary with extreme hot/cold.
• Walk and stand on feet for long periods of time up to entire shift (8 hours).
• Independent lifting of loads up to 30 pounds, or push/pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and greater (room attendant carts can be quite heavy to push)
• Lift, bend, crouch/stoop, climb, walk, stand, reach and twist.
• Must be able to handle safely and work with cleaning chemicals and related equipment.
