Reports to: President / COO or VP of Sales and Marketing

Job Summary

The Sales Manager performs sales activities and functions as required to attain established sales quotas; for all Arrowhead Systems products and services. Further, the Sales Manager will be responsible for representing the company and Arrowhead Systems brand to perspective clients, developing contacts, and fostering business relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work with the operational leadership on the sales plan for identified accounts and demonstrate the ability to meet sales objectives.
  2. Initiate weekly sales calls, visits, plans and activities; schedules customer visits, calls and sales trips in a cost-effective manner. Performs follow up activities as required to successfully bring sales to fruition.
  3. Maintain a knowledge level of all company products in order to emphasize the features to highlight how they solve the needs of the customer.
  4. Ensure sales activities support the company’s sales initiatives and fall within the guidelines contained in the sales compensation plan.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
  6. Identify and establish contact with potential customers.
  7. Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales and recommend marketing strategies to target potential customer base.
  8. Manage contract negotiations and work with legal counsel as required. 
  9. Updates CRM database for all accounts, contacts, & sales activities as required. 
  10. Submits weekly updates on sales activities, proposals, etc. 
  11. Provide an accurate and timely sales forecast for all activities. 
  12. Prepare and present company specific presentations for new and existing customers, maintaining the integrity of the organization.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

General Direction: receive very general guidance with respect to overall objectives; work is usually quite independent of others; operate within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred  

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
