Arrowhead Engineered Products is Hiring an IT - Vulnerability Management Security Analyst Near Blaine, MN

We are seeking a skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting our computer systems and networks by identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing security measures.
You'll play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's data and mitigating cyber risks. You’ll work alongside a security engineer and security engineering manager.
Experience with Cisco products, SonicWALL's, Palo firewalls and VPN, and endpoint protection is highly desirable.
Cloud and on-premise experience is also highly valued. This position will be most successful as a multi-dimensional resource that works on infrastructure, networking, and development tasks as they relate to security. Examples include working on zero trust initiatives with the network team, and working with developers on code scanning items.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement and monitor security measures: Deploy and manage technical controls to safeguard the organization's systems, networks, and data. This includes firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and data encryption technologies.
2. Conduct regular security assessments: Regularly perform security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses in the organization's security posture. Make recommendations for remediation and improvements based on the findings.
3. Analyze security breaches: Investigate security incidents and breaches to understand their cause and impact. Prepare reports detailing the findings and suggesting preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
4. Monitor security access: Oversee and control user access to systems to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to confidential data. Regularly review access rights to prevent unauthorized access.
5. Develop and update security policies and procedures: Assist in the creation and maintenance of the company's information security policies and procedures. Ensure they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
6. Stay updated on the latest security trends: Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies. Use this knowledge to enhance the organization's security posture and educate other staff members.
7. Provide training and support: Develop and deliver security training programs to educate employees about information security and cyber threats. Offer support to staff members regarding security-related issues and queries.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an Information Security Analyst or a similar role in cybersecurity.
3. Familiarity with various network technologies and security methodologies.
4. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C .
5. Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA Security , CISSP, or CISM are preferred.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts in an understandable manner.
