About The Role
Critical purpose of role:
- Work closely with the management team, supporting through sound information business decisions
- Work closely with the UK Finance Shared Services to ensure timely and accurate information provided to the business
- Present key financial statements and findings to the business
- Protect the business assets through financial integrity
Main responsibilities:
- Assist key stakeholders in understanding of key KPI’s and financial statements.
- Ensure general ledger transactions are reported in the correct business structure
- Review key operational KPI schedules adding commentary around the numbers
- Identify trends and recommend area’s for review
- Assist management team with commercial decision making
- Support in preparation of financial forecasts
- Support annual budget preparations
- Support with the development of Internal Reporting systems
- Review Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring balances are correct and are in line with ageing SLA’s.
- Maintain local fixed asset register ensuring all assets are categorised correctly and depreciated in line with policy.
- Ensure compliance with tax and associated legislation
About You
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience of recognised ERP system. Preferably IFS
- Qualified CIMA/ACCA/CPA
- Previous industry experience
- Excellent attention to detail, quality and accuracy
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to clearly communicate in a professional manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively with both colleagues and suppliers
- A lasting commitment to 'doing the job right’ and challenging the status quo
