Title: Contract Registered Nurse (Stepdown)

Description:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for our Medical Stepdown unit at our 409-bed hospital located in Birmingham, Alabama. As a faith-based ministry, we prioritize providing holistic care to our patients, and we are looking for RNs who share our commitment to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in our 30-bed Medical Stepdown unit.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3/4 with assistance from Patient Care Technicians.
• Monitor patients using bedside monitors and Central Monitoring systems.
• Work 3 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and provide treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience, with experience in a Stepdown or similar unit preferred.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and holistic care to patients.
