Remote Emergency Psychiatrist

Position Summary

Array Behavioral Care is hiring a full-time, 100% virtual Psychiatrist to provide measurement-based, culturally competent episodic care to patients in acute crisis.

You will immerse yourself in the buzz of an emergency department or crisis unit from the comfort of your own home. Array Emergency Psychiatrists collaborate with onsite professionals to determine a timely disposition and use evidence-based practices to provide care to underserved individuals experiencing some of the worst days of their life.

As a Remote Emergency Psychiatrist, your typical day may look like:

• Simultaneously serving multiple emergency rooms and psychiatric crisis programs to evaluate and treat patients in crisis to find the most appropriate and least restrictive level of care

• Receiving support throughout your shift by our 24/7 access center who triages cases to the right clinician and makes sure you have what you need to complete the case successfully 
• Directing and/or implementing psychotherapeutic treatments and prescribing medication to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders 
• Utilizing a collaborative care approach within your partner’s healthcare treatment team

• Are interested in being a pioneer clinician in a thriving behavioral health care modality 
• Are a board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist
• Have unrestricted, independent licensure
• Have a private office space in your home or elsewhere that ensures confidentiality.
• Have an established and updated CAQH profile 

• Have an established FCVS profile 

You are good at:  

• Providing clinical telepsychiatry to all age groups
• Treating patients in acute crisis 

• Communicating with patients from various backgrounds and providing culturally competent care

You are comfortable with technology:  

• Setting up and using technical hardware (i.e., laptop, camera, monitors)
• Using various software – advanced experience with video platforms (i.e., Zoom)

• Operating EHRs effectively in day-to-day activity
• Learning new software

BENEFITS 

• Regardless of hours worked per week, you are eligible to enroll in our 401k and receive a Peloton membership
• Beginning at 24 hours per week you become eligible for CME credits and FlexTime, which can be used for any requested time off, including but not limited to vacation, holidays, personal and sick time

• Community Clinics (Scheduled Care):

• Provide stable and consistent quality clinical outpatient care to underserved patients at community mental health centers, federally qualified health centers, and other forms of outpatient programs.
• Clinicians are long term partners with community organizations – not locum tenens 
• Our collaborative care programs are great fits for psychiatrists that thrive within a multi-disciplinary team and who want to share their expertise within primary care settings

• Direct-to-Consumer (AtHome):

• Treat patients virtually and bring affordable, evidence-based mental health services to everyone 
• Work with treatment teams including psychiatry, therapy, and counseling to deliver the right services to individuals
• Clinicians set their own schedule, and Array helps you to build and maintain your caseload depending on your employment agreement. Sessions can be offered up to seven days per week, with evening and weekend sessions encouraged.

Compensation for this role starts at a rate of $135/hour. This information reflects the anticipated pay for this position using current national data. The final offer will be determined based on an individual’s skills, experience, specialty, capacity, licenses, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
