Low Voltage Installation Technician - Full Time

We are in search of skilled Installation Technicians responsible for deploying and upholding various systems, including Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems, and Nurse Call.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy pathways and cabling.
  • Effectively interpret blueprints for comprehensive job site understanding.
  • Anticipate upcoming tasks, equipment needs, and training requirements.
  • Demonstrate capacity to devise project layouts for limited-scope endeavors.
  • Supervise small crews as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and OSHA standards.
  • Conduct installation and termination of peripheral devices.
  • Program and test systems.
  • Provide customer training on relevant systems.
  • Offer maintenance and support, including service calls.
  • Travel to diverse locations for hardware equipment troubleshooting and replacements.
  • Oversee work progress, delivery, and implementation.
  • Accurately complete necessary paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the communications industry.
  • Proficiency in telecommunication, data network, cabling/connectivity, and desktop/server hardware/software configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
  • Comfortable interacting with clients throughout projects.
  • Strong attention to detail with reliable follow-up.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret floor plans.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance for commuting to job sites.
  • Flexible schedule accommodating occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening.

Preferred:

  • PMP or BICSI Certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment regularly.
  • Comfort with bending, twisting, turning, and crawling into confined spaces for equipment installation.
  • Proficiency in cable termination according to color codes.
  • Comfort with frequent ladder climbing and extended overhead cabling/wiring.
  • Ability to grip, push, pull feed cable vertically and horizontally.
  • Capability to drive to job sites, load/unload tools, and travel out of state, potentially requiring airline travel.
  • Proficient in English communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
